Imagine an exercise programme where you hardly ever do the same workout twice. Imagine working out with a group of friends who are encouraging you to do your very best and who celebrate with you when you achieve a new goal. Imagine working with a qualified coach who cares about your needs and uses their experience and expertise to help you reach your goals.

CrossFit Timaru is the premier and only CrossFit Gym in Timaru.  Our passion is to help our members, athletes and community to set goals and accomplish things they never thought they could. Whether it be to lose weight, be the star player on a sports team, recover from an injury, become a better weightlifter, chase after your grandchildren or change your lifestyle.

Our promise is to offer individualized training

in a small group environment, giving our members the attention they deserve and treating everyone who steps foot into CrossFit Timaru with respect, regardless of what their fitness background is.

FREE INTRO CLASS

If you are new to CrossFit this is a great opportunity to experience a CrossFit workout and check us out. 
You do not have to have any CrossFit experience, we will look after you, even if you have never set foot in a gym before.

FIRST WEEKS

Being able to start your CrossFit journey as soon as possible is as important to us as it is to you. BUT we want you to be safe so you will be training under the watchful eyes of one of our experienced coaches.  They will not only help you with the technique of the movements, but also help you and guide you in your classes, keeping you injury free and progressing at YOUR pace. So all you need to do is chose which membership you want.

CHERYL

For those that don’t know me, I came to New Zealand from the UK in 2008, along with my husband Simon and my two children.  I was always interested in fitness in the UK and was a qualified Aerostyle spin instructor but my main passion was running and I regularly took part in local events.

When we arrived here in New Zealand I had the opportunity to change my career, well I thought “new country, new career, why not!” 

I carried on with my running, completing 4 half marathons and some longer trail running events. My attention then drew towards adventure racing and have since competed in The Spring Challenge (an all-women’s adventure racing event) five times.

I have been in the Fitness Industry for the last 9 years and have had experience training a wide variety of clients from everyday members of the community, regular gym members looking to take their training to the next level, potential up and coming high school athletes through to some world class athletes.

My interests in Crossfit started in about 2013, when I realised the amazing results that you could get from it.  I love the fact that every workout is different, it opens up your weaknesses and helps prepare you for whatever life has to throw at you.

I love Crossfit because of its simplistic approach to fitness, the emphasis on real food and nutrition, and the focus on helping people move better. Although it is awesome to see the super human abilities that are achievable through Crossfit, I get a real buzz from helping the average members of the  community turn their lives around through the skills and knowledge acquired from the program.

CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, CrossFit Judges Certificate 2018, CrossFit Movement and Mobility course,  Australian Weightlifting Federation Sports Power Coach Level 1, NZ Iron Kettlebell Trainers Course.

Find out where you are by assessing all your first Overall Fitness Level.

"Tonight I did the Crossfit Wod Fran 1st time I done this I did RX thrusters, pull ups with an orange and gray band and did it in about 15 minutes, tonight I did RX and did 8mins 50secs so I am improving all the time. I love seeing all the progress I am making and you can too if you accept the challenge. Weather it is for Cardiovascular, Strength, lose weight whatever your reason come on down join in on the fun, the best part of the week is roughly 11:48 on Saturday morning when we come together for a coffee and solve all the problems of the world.
